Keys To Improving Social Media Sharing

I recently read an article from Social Media Week about keys to improving social media sharing. The article discussed a lot about videos but I decided to take what I found most relevant to Grand Ideas. It also discussed the importance of keeping yourself inspired.

  1. Be Informative
  2. Define Brand Voice: Make sure your audience understands the company’s personality.
  3. Be Responsive: To be social, you need to respond when you are mentioned
  4. The Internet never sleeps. Automate posts to reach early birds, night owls, and different time zones.
  5. Be Direct: punchy posts get engagement.
  6. Be creative

If you want to remain productive and have ideas when you need them most, the stimuli you allow into your mind are important. Creativity is essentially the combining of existing bits of inspiration into something new, the quality and relevance of your inputs will often directly affect your creative output.

According to Todd Henry, founder of Accidental Creative, one common question is “where do you find inspiring stimuli” He says the answer is quite simple. I ask people I admire, “What’s inspiring you right now?” He asks anyone he finds interesting. It doesn’t matter if they’ve just met or are old friends. He says the best quality stimulus often come from the least expected place.

Take the time to INSPIRE yourself.
